Our client is a well-established, global direct selling business, specialising in top end cooking and cleaning appliances.

Reporting to the Sales Director the primary purpose of this newly-created role will be to define and implement the training strategy for our client’s UK and Ireland sales organisations in line with the country’s general sales strategy, in order to support the fast growing sales organisation

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Define and implement a training strategy in collaboration with Directors
  • Define and create initial and ongoing training for self-employed sales advisors and team leaders plus some employed staff, to include basic sales training to management, leadership and people development training
  • Plan for, arrange and execute training conferences for team leaders and sales managers.
  • Define and implement training for retail staff
  • Design and deliver internal training projects as required
  • Follow-up and evaluate all training programmes

Knowledge, Technical Skills and Experience required

  • 5+ years’ experience in a training management role, ideally within a direct selling environment
  • Experience in handling external agencies
  • Excellent oral and written English
  • Experience in running a training department
  • Good project management skills
  • Understanding of direct selling model and motivation of advisors
  • Experience and interest in different training forms: face to face, online, training videos
  • Experience in keeping to a budget
  • Driving licence (own car)
  • Good PPT, Excel and Office pack skills

The role will involve national travel in the field to observe and monitor training. There may also be some international travel
